2014 has yielded some highs and also some skies. And some sky-highs. A few lows were always going to peep out from behind hazel and horse chestnut, but we managed to achieve a decent sky-high/low ratio.
I wandered around Las Vegas in a tweed jacket and orange bobble hat. I spent hundreds of mornings and evenings hurtling through the Hope Valley. I had a midnight adventure in Stuttgart with some of my best friends. I finally read Slaughterhouse 5. I spent most days listening to music.
Ah, music. 2014 was a delight for sounds. Thank you everyone yet again for passing me lots of recommendations about what I should be chewing my ears on, you’ve given me a pearl or two. I say it a lot (and it’s only because I mean it) but the most incredible aspect of doing GT is hearing from you lot, whether it be a recommendation or just to say that you liked our releases. Even one person saying they dig makes it all worthwhile, so thank you.My genuine, genuine favourite record of the year has been Low Fantasy EP by The Resource Centre. It is a sparkling rock pool remembered in sepia. It's childhood pylons. It's a slowly dissolving toy box. It's wonderful and I can't say how proud I am that GT got it on to vinyl. Follow him here:

And for 2015? I've bought some waders. There will be 2 or 3 tapes and maybe a 7/10/12 inch. Some written stuff. Some visual stuff. Some classic Geography Tripping.
Think on. Exciting times.Anyway, I've put together my favourite releases of the year followed by my alphabet inventory of favourite things. Just a bit of fun and apologies if I've missed some belters off there. My memory is fucking terrible.
Enjoy your holidays and back here bright and early in January.
